Working my a** off and my telephone number is not going to scale for a business that expects to grow. Maybe working many a**es together and giving out multiple phone numbers may help. But really, it boils down to availability and accountability.

I accept it is important to keep SLAs simple for both parties. Good point, it really shouldn't be between the legal departments.

Looking forward to part two.

Stack sold his biz for $4.2m, that is okay. He too made his millions. He knew his limitation and exit early.

Jeff was an investment banker. He was not a programmer. He knew how to raise money. So, he leveraged his experience.

Amazon will not be forever!. A major catastrophy can happen to amazon. They are expanding too fast.

For, instance, ebay was a leader earlier on. Now, they are not the in-thing. Amazon has taken over.

I forsee google taking on amazon, using different tactics!

Good point, making people smile is a great way to help them remember your advertisement. It also helps word-of-mouth about you, because if someone sees something funny they always want to tell their family and friends about it. Thanks for the post!

Thanks for stopping by Karthi!

The post is 'for effective SMS marketing' accepting the fact that it is very much about reaching masses. Picking from your words, it's about helping one get a 30% response instead of considering a 10% response as a successful campaign. And yes value addition - definitely not yet there in India, outright silly SMS fills the inbox anyday!

I agree with Ash that its about reaching masses. Value addition is not something that has caught on (or at least in India). If the advertiser is able to get 10% respond i think its considered as a successful campaign for him. There is big bucks to be earned if SMS marketing is done right. Increasing SMS is just an indication that advertisers are working out to find the right solution to get end-users attention.
